SITUATION: Event organizers of a high-profile event contacted the Global Guardian team with a request to secure a 60-acre outdoor venue, including points of access and area perimeter, to keep guests, including high-profile public figures and government officials, safe while in attendance.

RESPONSE:

Upon receiving the request, the Global Guardian team immediately conducted a full on-site assessment with the client to discuss security requirements, points of entry, areas of concern, and the use of Global Guardian customized services, such as K9s. The team then created a comprehensive security plan to review with all parties involved and implement. The plan included:

• K9 patrols to deter and prevent criminal activity
• Armed agents providing perimeter security of the large, outdoor venue
• Access control with armed agents stationed at assembly point—where guests boarded transportation to the event—and venue gates to verify identities of guests
• Executive protection of select individuals in attendance

On event day, the on-site team executed this plan to secure the site and guests in attendance. At one point, two unauthorized individuals attempted to enter the property along the perimeter and an armed agent successfully performed de-escalation—with no disruption to the event—to keep the individuals from gaining access. Upon completion of the event, the clients were debriefed on all security activity and provided a comprehensive report by the on-site team.
