At approximately 4:26 AM on 8 April 2020, a Black Chevy pickup truck entered the lot at a local car dealership. The Global Guardian Security Operations professional immediately began tracking the vehicle.
When the subject exited his vehicle, the Global Guardian team issued a verbal warning through the intercom system. During this time, the subject attempted to open the driver side door of a Dodge Charger. The team immediately dispatched law enforcement and described the situation to the responding officers. The dispatch was received at 4:29 AM.
While on the phone with the dispatcher, the operator witnessed the subject pull on a windshield wiper on a white SUV as if he was trying to steal it. He then walked towards a Jeep Wrangler and opened the driver door, then closed it shortly after. As he was heading towards the exit he parked in front of the dealership, walked towards a Ford Mustang, and looked inside. As he was proceeding towards the exit, the responding officers arrived at 4:32 AM.
The Officers on scene arrested the suspect before he could flee. One of the responding Officers called the SOC at approximately 4:35 AM. While on the phone with the Officer, the operator was able to direct them to the vehicle that the subject had tampered with. All POC’s were contacted and thanks to our 24/7 video monitoring, access control and intrusion detection, plus the swift actions by our Operator on duty, no vehicles or assets were damaged or stolen.
