MCLEAN, VA (November 9, 2016) - Global Guardian successfully conducted an urgent emergency medical evacuation of a client hospitalized while traveling within the United States.

The international security firm Global Guardian has added operational capabilities in Denmark. On 22 July, a lone gunman went on a shooting spree near Olympia Mall in Munich Germany, killing nine and injuring 16 more. During the attack, news outlets distributed conflicting reports of at least three active shooters at large and moving around the city. 

Global Guardian successfully conducted an urgent emergency medical response and coordinated the safe evacuation of a senior executive traveling in Madrid, Spain. Upon notification of the client emergency, Global Guardian activated its US-based physician team to begin coordinating treatment with local medical staff and deployed a regionally-located, highly-trained medical advisor to assist on-site.

In each case, we directed the clients to shelter in place while our teams responded, and were able to reach the travelers in less than hour for extraction,” said Matt Boccia, Global Guardian’s Chief Operating Officer.
